The fruit of the year is the apple! On Sunday 23 August, on the occasion of Copenhagen Cooking — the food festival celebrating the Copenhagen food scene — we invite you to a veritable cornucopia of cakes and desserts with apples. Take your sweet tooth under your arm and board grandma's apple cake with macaroons and whipped cream, apple-curd scones, tempting tarte tatin -- and more delights.

All the organic goodies are served on a cake table in the Væksthuset and our pastry chef Kathrine Velin talks about all the apple possibilities in the dessert kitchen.

Buy coffee, tea, applesauce of course — or an organic Calvados, at the bar and satisfy the sweet hunger.

Banegaarden is open all day, so come early or linger among the wilderness and greenery.
