Get your rhythm cravings quieted and a Tuesday party in the body when we invite you to an outdoor west-coast Latin jazz concert with built-in icy Margaritas and hot, crunchy tacos 🍹🌮🎉
The explosive quartet, “Social Mambo Explosion”, delivers with great empathy an immersive and stimulating musical experience inspired by the west-coast Latin jazz scene of 1960s California.
At the time, the vibraphone was a popular instrument in the Latin jazz genre, exposed by the likes of Cal Tjader, Dave Pike, Victor Feldman, Emil Richards, and Bobby Hutcherson. All of them collaborated with eminent musicians who had come to from Latin America — especially Cuban musicians such as Mongo Santamaria, Willie Bobo and Armando Peraza were prominent figures, but also pianists Vince Guaraldi and Eddie Palmieri beamed... the mambo fever was raging!
In Denmark we are also fortunate to have our share of Cubans, and a Danish vibraphonist who has thrown his love on this particular genre, is hereby welcome to “Social Mambo Explosion” consisting of:
Morten Grønvad on vibraphone
Yasser Pino on double bass
Eliel Lazo on congas
Yohan Ramon on timbales
🎉 The food stalls and the open-air bar “Lugen” are open all evening, so come earlier and stay later in our green oasis in the middle of the city 🌱
