Venue: BANEGAARDEN/Barn nr. 608.
VERIDITAS - Voices of Nature
What does it mean to listen to the living world? The concert's title refers to a concept, coined by the medieval mystic Hildegard von Bingen, for whom viriditas described the green, life-giving force which flows through plants, people, music and spirit — the quiet energy of growth, renewal and connectedness that unites the work of creation.
Look forward to a Sunday with room for both reflection and enjoyment, where through music we reconnect with the green pulse that runs through the world, all powerfully conveyed by Ars Nova's singers and chief conductor Sofi Jeannin.
The concert interweaves music from eight centuries and lets medieval mystic Hildegard von Bingen and Thomas Tallis meet composers from our own time. Birdsong, wind, plants and imagined landscapes blare through the programme and invite us to hear nature not only as a backdrop, but as a partner and companion.
The music sometimes lingers on beauty and play; at other times it pauses to reflect on loss and responsibility and, through powerful new written works, focuses on the role of man in the current biodiversity crisis — including in Declared Extinct, a brand new work by the young French/English composer Heloise Werner, commissioned by Ars Nova and given its first performances here. But even if there will be time for reflection and perhaps even sadness, the program above all creates room for wonder, curiosity and joy: music that rattles, sprouts, dances and breathes. From Renaissance polyphony to Caroline Shaw's wide-open timbre worlds, viriditas celebrate the enduring human urge to listen, to care and to imagine new ways of being in tune with the world around us.

DREAMING OF/Concert at 15:00
Venue: BANEGAARDEN/outdoor-scene
At 3pm, enjoy Sunday sun and dream pop with courage and something at heart in an embracing sonic universe. The band is called Dreamer Om, and it's a relatively new name on the Danish indie scene.
They are a Danish-language duo who, with a raw and touching sound, deep lyrics and a present presence, shed light on everyday inner landscapes and give way to despairing thoughts and ecstatic feelings. Dreamer Om consists of singer, Caroline, and producer, Steffen, and the band moves within the genre of alternative indie pop, constantly mixing the organic with the electronic and the dreamy sound universe with lyrics that strike hard. With an alluring and nuanced vocal that emerges as an instrument in its own right, and an experimental and embracing sonic universe, the duo opens the door to their innermost - and lets the audience get right in, where it hurts a little and feels absolutely right.

THE ORGELHEIMERS/Concert at 16:00
Venue: BANEGAARDEN/outdoor-scene
No music party without a band playing surf, beats, grooves, jazz and soul! Welcome to the square of the one & only Orgelheimers, which blends styles well together.
They're music's answer to tooth butter -- only with organ. On a base of drums and guitar, the Orgelheimers smear a thick layer of organ besides their own as well as others' numbers. Sitting down or listening concert, it probably won't be as they play their way through an energetic bouquet of related rhythmic genres.
